Pillai Maruthu Plantation

Dear sir,

I am planning to plant Pillai maruthu in our agricultural fields, this tree I choose bcos our fields could flood some period in the year when the water comes in the river. These trees can withstand the heavy water.

My question is, I want to know the marketability of this tree, market value, growth of the tree.

I do not get much information in the internet about this tree. Please help provide information.

The tree is scientifically called Terminalia paniculata belongs to family combretacea. Since it has medicinal properties, use dwidely in ayurveda. Plant pacifies vitiated kapha, pitta, cough, bronchitis, cardiac debility, diabetes, wounds and skin diseases.
Useful part : Bark.

Regarding the market value please consult the forestry department
