new dairy farm

Dear Mohan,

Its very gud business if u could understand the basic need of the animals like shelter, water and food same as human beings.
Being novice to this industry i wish to suggest some imp points which I found should be focused.
a) plan the size of farm in accordance to land available for fodder
b) water availabilty for drinking, cleaning and cultivation
c) considering the area ur planing u should also think of sprinkler or valloing tank to keep animals cool.
d) keep the animals loose or semi loose ( 12 hrs tied & 12 hrs free)
e) access to drinking water 24x7x365
g) before procuring animals keep the fodder ready for harvesting
h) dry fodder , concentarte and gree fodder should be fed
i) ration should be 60:10:30 balanced as per above group
j) buffaloes are hard to milk and breed kindly focus on these aspects
k) try to milk buffaloes with machine as they can be milked.
l) buffaloes are phsycologically more pronounced then cows
m) invest wisely on shed and animals
n) avg yield of buffaloes is 6 liters/ day for 280 days ( lactation lenght)
o) the above mentioned yield can be increased but depend on management.
p) no registration is req for starting the farm

last but least ALL THE BEST
