Question Need tips and pointers for muskmelon cultivation

I am planing for muskmelon cultivation in month of November at Nasik. The harvesting will be in mid January 2019. Is it good idea to go for cultivation in winter? which varieties are good for winter cultivation? Where will I find good market for muskmelon in month of January?
