Need information on buying farmland

Hello,
Could anyone tell me what are the legal requirements to buy agricultural / farm land?
I studied Engineering, but now would like to start farming on a small scale - like a homestead farm. I would like to buy 2-4 acres and start with vegetables and fruits.

Appreciate if anyone could provide complete details for farmland purchase.

I have got my land documents verified and even registration was done by Mr Prashanth.

It always helps as the content is also very important while registering a Land.

He also gave me those papers tagged within a file with his legal opinion.

Farmland legalities

first of all you should belong to farmar communiti, ie.you should have agricultural land anywhere in india with documents, pani etc, either onyur name or your fathr name , is the basic requirment for purchase of agri land in karnataka, in tamilnadu you neend not required these things, directly u can purchase the land like sites/plots. in karnatak i have few land for sale.srmdot slnatgmaildotcom u can send pm,legal part of land documents you have to get legal opinion from the lawer.
