Hi,
I am beginner in Goat farming and I am very much intrested in starting the goat farm starting with 100+5.
But my concern is how to market them to get good profit? During one of farm visit, I came to know about few information
and wanted clarify them here.
1.What is an average weight gain of any goat( any breed or say Tellichery,Osmanbadi,Sirohi, Jamnapari, Surti, Beetal, Malabari)
after 6 months ?
2.What is approx maintenance cost that takes per goat per day ( including it's feed, workders cost, insurance, medicines and other expenses) ?
3.How much cosumable meat can be obtained from live goat weighing say 30kgs ( any breed or say Tellichery,Osmanbadi,Sirohi, Jamnapari, Surti, Beetal, Malabari)
I was told only 50% of live goat weight is consumable meat, it is true ?
4. Which is better practice, whether to have multiple breeds in the farm or just have one type ?
5.What is the rate of goat whose weight is 30 kgs ?(Tellichery,Osmanbadi,Sirohi). I know each one might vary .If possible provide information for Osmanbadi, tellichery, Shirohi or one that is best for Bangalore area. I am considering the breed that can be raised in Bangalore area. Please suggest the one.
