agri/food processing query
First of all, I would like to thank for replying to my query. I am staying in a town near to Nagpur.I am a serving Indian Navy and about to retire from service in Jan 2011 after putting a service of 10 years. I am interested in starting a small scale foodprocessing / agriprocessing business. I am having a investment of arround 10-12 lakhs of my own. I am interested in products such as soyabean products, Daal mill (Pulse milling), Packaged Besan (Gram flour)/wheat flour, Ready mixes, cattle feed, herbal gutkha, wafers etc. But I am confused which product to select or to start with, as I am not very sure of market availability/ viability of such products. Also, I donot have exact idea about threats applicable to such business/ products.
I had words with some bank officials regarding loan. As per them, they can assist me with finaince of 80 % of total project cost under the various goverment sponsered scheme for a good idea/product.
I will be very thankful to you if you guide me on product selection ( suitable to my invetment level) , market availability, consultacy available, marketing and loans etc.
please, do kindly reply me. I request your valuable and expert suggestions on any other agri/food product to start with and other aspect of such business.
