Need guidance on cultivation

Hi,
We stay in Mumbai and own an acre of land near Khopoli, raigad, MH.
We are not from agro background but want to bring the land under cultivation.
Since we can't pay frequent visits to the place, we want to start with some crops or plants which require least maintenance.

Please suggest viable options.
Like where to start from ?
which plants we need to select ? what should be selection criterion?
Should it be herbal or vegetable plantation or both? .
Can we use the land for commercial purpose ? etc.

I mMahesh Raut, Agro-Horticultural Consultant & Farm/Landscape developers. I m also Mumbai based.Mine is nine seven six nine two five double one three eight. First of all I have to look the ur site, whether it plot is plain/ undulating or paddy fields, The we can come to any conclusion.
