Need Advice for cultivation

Dear All,

I am planning to get into Cultivation. Since I am new to this field, I am going to lease a land (2 acre approx) on experimental basis. Land located at Salem District.

Kindly suggest what type of crops are suitable to initiate with minimum gurantee.

We have Well and bore well irrigation system. Out of 2 acres abour 90 cent is red soil, remaining or block soil. Land is in between Salem and Vazhapadi markets.
