We may not have stocks of the seed you need. Knowing the quantity of seed orders in advance, allows us to collect and ship seed in time to meet your needs. This is very important particularly for recalcitrant seed (recalcitrant seed can be stored only for a short period after collection) and for species that flower and produce seeds at irregular interval (not every year).
Consider the time required to raise health seedlings for field planting. For most species the nursery period is 2 to 12 months.
