Hello,
I am Interested to plant Malabar Neem/ Teak plantation/ Sandalwood plantation in our land which is not really good for cultivation. I want to know details regarding these plants/trees please share it with me. I am basically looking at the following details
• Availability of plants and number of plants for 1 acre.
• Current market price for ton and how much yielding for acre.
• The right time of the year to plant
• What kind of maintenance do they require
• How many years they give well returns, I am not sure how far this is reliable information. It would be great if u give a rough indication about return on investment.
• Any current government regulation to cut such trees in Andhra Pradesh.

Thanks in Advance.

Hello sir,
the crops you have specified are long term investment they require minimum of 15 years to start bearing and there fore it is difficult to tell the price but present price of sandal wood is 1 crorre/ac and best but soil requirement of sandal is red soil, dry climate and is a root parasite initially red gramm has to be planted with planting of sandal then it should be intercropped with amla which is best companion.
as of now no government regulation for cultivation but to harvest u need to inform forest department.

Hi,

If your land is not suitable for any cultivation then why should waste your money and time.Kindly think about Eugaliptus.
