jackfruit - fruit dropping problm

this is main problm of madyapradesh state .

the fruits of jackfruit plant are generally small and drop easily causes reduction of production.

scientist advice that 50 kg vermicompost + 1 kg gromor + fish manure per plant .

but has a little effect.

but i want reason behind that & truthful remedy of that

Is this problem found in your garden only or even others having the problem. Check if there is no water loggingg, no incidence of pests and diseases and ensure you have applied sufficient quantity of nuttrients and organic matter.

madam, i understand thr incident of pest attack but such problem.

i have wrote that appiled nutrient gave little effect.

so, take it seriously, that help many farmers.

Try spryaing GA3 60ppm during the full bloom and on fruit set. Also contact the nearest KVK, or horticultural department.

It is normal to drop but too much of droppings can be reduced.

1.During oct Nov there should be enough water and you should apply enough fertilizer if you are going commercial cultivation.

2.During june july plouging in between trees and apply farm yard manure @ 5 to 10 tons and mulch it.Possibly you can apply rock phosphate @ 10 bags or 500 kg per acre or apply 4 bags superphosphate 200kgs

3.during oct nov or during your monsoon season apply 500 gms of urea and 750 gms of potash/ tree ,1 meter away from tree trunk in semi circular pit.


4.one of the major reason for fruit drop is micronutrient deficiency.You should apply a general micronutrient mixture which contains most of the nutrient which you can enquire in the fertilizer shop.10 kg / acre. you may see some improvement in the coming year.

5. to improve fruit size lot of things available in the market you try and found suitable one to your plant.

Dont forget to apply the fertilizer and micro nutrients once a year and you may get the full result in 2 or 3 years.
