i had been serching a lot for information about solar panales and pumps..
this are the things that i have already established.
1. pv pannesls cost from Rs.34/wp to Rs.198/wp
2. its cost effecent and energy efficent to use DC pump, than that to use a invertor for an AC pump.
3. If X is the amount of watt requried to pump a water from some feet..for an AC Pump... DC motor requries less than X amount to pump same water.. hence need to use less pannels, which still costs low for a whole system.
4. by using DC pumps, i cant connet it to local grid current which is AC
5. DC pump and solar panels are most easier to install.. than that of AC pump and solar.

now the facts.
1. i have a 3hp.AC submersible pump at 220 ft in a bore well.
2. i only get 3 hrs current here.. so its insuffient from my 4 acre land.
3. i have installed gatewalls so that i can limit the water to specific portion of land.
4. i need to install solar panales on rooftop of a small room which is already in a farm.
5. i wont use local current anymore.
6. im happy if my solar pump works for atlest 5-6 hrs per day.
7. i dnt need autotracking or manul traking solar panels as its in rooftop and my needs are lesser hours, and i wont use it in rainy season.
Now wat i need to know is..
1. How many pannels do i need to install on rooftop.
2. Does AC 3hp is equal to DC 3hp pumps? Does both give same amout of water?
3. How many watts of DC pump should i have?
4. Which is the best and economic solar panel to choose..?
