Daer All,

Please tell us how to use copper sulphate 5% to Saffron seeds. And how much I use it for Seeds.

copper sulphate treatment

Copper Sulphate is a fungicide used to control bacterial and fungal diseases of fruit, vegetable, nut, and field crops. These diseases include mildew, leaf rust, leaf spots, blights and pod rot. It is used as a protective fungicide (Bordeaux Mixture) for leaf application and seed treatment.

In saffron, seeds are corms, 5 % solution is prepared by dissolving 5 gm of CuSo4 powder in 95 ml water so total solution will be 100 ml. Now the quantity used depends upon the corms to be planted. It requires 40 quintals corms for per hactare plantation. So quantity of solution could be prepared accordingly.
