My Dear Sir/Mam
Here is the brief on Rice Farming business in GHana as discussed with you,if you need further information on the subject, do write me.
In the past some years, the political environment of many African countries has considerably been altered due to UN,World Bank and many other agencies involved in providing credit line for African countries.
Barring a few countries viz, Sudan,Somalia, Nigeria, DRC, Ivory Coast etc, rest all countries have switched over to stable democratically elected governments, which has prompted many countries, companies, private individuals to acquire large tracts of fertile land in many African countries, you can get this detail from Landgrab.org home page site.
food insecurity in Africa need not to be emphasized, after visiting 4 countries and having done extensive studies of various reports prepared by the World Bank, the UN,DFID, ADB,etc and detailed discussion with the Indian farmers already well footed in some countries, i made up my mind to commence corporate Rice farming in Ghana, as the country is a net importer of 69% of its domestic rice requirement and rate of paddy in Ghana currently is Rs 4000/- per quintal (100 kg).
as discussed during telecon, one can acquire fertile land in Ghana, he will have to create a firm there.
To begin with,we can start with 500 acres of land, and total expenses including lease money, land clearing charges, survey charge, irrigation charges, cultivation charges, seeds, sowing, fertilizer, weedicide, and lastly harvesting would be 1.5cr. and Return is 3 Crore in Six Month Bcoz The Rice Grow 15 Quintal Rice in One Acre so (15*500=7500 Quintal Rice in 500Acre) So Return is 4000*7500=3 Crore and Corp is come in Two time in Year.
I would not recommend purchase of machinery till we harvest our first crop, the reason being big expenses on its purchase, rather we will get our first crop on rental farmequipment. We would need one tractor and its related equipment initially, and later based on our requirements we would buy machinery.
I can manage the farm irrespective of its size,
I can manage all activities related with corporate rice/maize/soybean farming including all operations right from getting you visa to getting you desired piece of land in Ghana.
I would like to offer you two options.
1. On consultancy basis which would include all activities from visa to get you land, My consultancy charges would be just 6 lakh rupees to be paid before commencing our visit to Ghana excluding all expenses involved on my visit to Ghana with you and return back to India.
2. I can manage the whole farming operations including point 1.I would like to ask for 30% share from the profit till your full investment is recovered and after that on 50% basis.
Do let me know your comments on my mail to move further.
Regards
