Herbal pesticides are gaining more importance now day as awareness on organic cultivation, which are cheply available , easy to application and no residue.
there are N number of pesticides available prepared locally many gone unnoticed but these are the important ones given below.
1.Neem oil :- used to prevent various sucking pests soil application 5 to 10 ml/ltr now days a commerical product with name azadirectin also came in the market..
2.Pongemia oil:- used to prevent various sucking pests soil application 5 to 10 ml/ltr .
3.Biodigester extraction. Here u have to put many plants having insecticidal property in a tankComposition of the ingredients and process involved
Ingredients required:
• Cow dung – 100 kg
• Cow urine – 50 lt.
• Water – 250 lt.
• Agriculture waste/crop residues approximately 1ton
Process:
1. Add Agricultural waste, cow dung, cow urine to the digester tank and fill it with water. in 3
installments of 5 days interval. Leave it for 45 days for decomposition.
2. Filtered mixture can be collected in the storage tank entering through perforated pvc pipe.
3. Biodigester extract can be used through drip/spray for nutrients management as well as
for plant protection.
