Hi deepak
Ideal climate for cultivation of gherkins
Gherkins ideally grow in areas where the temperature ranges between 15 and 35 degrees centigrade. Since these temperature conditions prevail virtually round the year in many parts of Karnataka, especially in the outskirts of Bangalore, Hassan, Kolar, Mysore and Tumkur and possess the right type of soil for gherkin cultivation, it has given farmers an alternative to growing traditional crops.
Gherkins are a perennial, short duration crop (75-90 days) enabling farmers to harvest two to three crops per year.
According to a KAPPEC (Karnataka State Agricultural Produce Processing and Export Corporation) report, this allows farmers to make up for the shortfall in income in one crop through the next one, within the same year. It also allows him to grow a traditional crop for home consumption within the same year.
Contact the global green company as they are the largest producers of gherkins in the world.
