Gerbera flower under open condition..?

Dear all,

Does anyone of you have planted Gerbera flowera under open condition.?
Whether its possible or not, to get the crop.

Or does anyone of you tested in your geography to test it in open condition?

Gerbera flower

I don't think so it wold be possible to crop Gerbera flower under open condition. Either special variety should be used for this .
please share if you have more ideas about this topic.
