Gachhakaya (Caesalpinia crista) seed treetment

Namaskar,

I have seeds of Gachhakaya (Caesalpinia crista)..Iam willing to seed them as live fence..
these seeds are very hard,
can any body help me to know how can i treet them before planting?

Ashwini ! How can u post such replies like goto forest dept, go to agri dept, go to horticulture dept ? I suggest you solicit members from those departments and make them reply, that would be useful.

Though I newbie to farming, from the net search and study , I found that any seed which is hard to sprout should be treated with hot water for may be 15 minutes ( 80C) until it swell a little( indication of some absorption of water !), seed coating scratched without damaging sprouting end. put the seed in humid condition mimicking the rainy season for it sprout !
any better solution ?
