fodder beet info required

hi all
im starting a dairy farm ,for which i want to go for fodder beet can any one give me detailed info on fodder beet cultivation,per acer of fodder beet how many buffelows can be fed.will milk production go up by using fodder beet as fodder .etc

Fodder beets is the highest yielding forage crop any one can grow. The energy rich fodder beets are complementing the use of grass or protein rich legumes in the diet of the cattle. In many countries fodder beets serve as the reliable winter storage of feed. In other countries fodder beets play an important role in supplying forage in dry periods late in the summer. The cultivation of fodder beets with or without co-ensilage with maize is particularly suitable in districts where the potential yield from fodder beets is 30-40% higher than from maize. If it is decided to embark on fodder beet cultivation for co-ensilage with maize, there are a number of points which need clarifying if the project is n to succeed.
