Dear Sirs, One of my old friend (Retd. Principal Scientist, Agro-forestry) had perfected a technology for induction of gum from Acacia senegal tree, producing highly valued gum arabica, using ethephon. this plant does not requires latex stimulator. Coinsidently, Acacia senegal, locally called as Kumut is abundantly grows in private as well government land in whole western arid and semiarid parts of Rajasthan, western Gujarat and Haryana.
