Epicotyl grafting in mango - Query

Hi All,
I am planning to do epicotyl grafting(small no's as a view of experimenting). I have searched the web and found few useful videos in youtube. Can anyone tell me which variety of Seed will result in long life of the grafted tree. Does the selection of mother plant(seed sprouted) will affect the growth of the plant.

Any guidance/advice/reference material is much appreciated.

Hello sir,
the basic idea behind grafting on root stock (stone/seed) must be originated locally, because the local stones which well adjusted to adverse climatic and soil condition of your area and resistant to pest and disease but it is low yield-er on grafting with good yielding and desired scion plant yields as per your expectations .
care must be taken to ensure the size of root stock and scion while grafting
water entry should be prevented
to increase the success grafting must be done in the month of Aug-JAn
