Enquiry about greenhouse,electricity and crop

Hello,
the area where i want to build climate controlled greenhouse has electricity supply of 12 hrs.
1.what i have to do if i want 24 hrs elecricity supply?
2.are there any other type of greenhouses which doesn't need cont.supply? If yes which?
3.the temperature of my village ranges from 20 to 30 and during summer it reaches upto 41.so do i need fan,padsystem in greenhouse?
4.there are two apmc near my village,can i sell cut flowers there?
5.which flower is suitable in the temperature of my village?
6.where i can sell the cut flowers?
please give answers..

HI Vinay,


What type of greenhouse do you want to build??? If you go in for a low cost polyhouse, you will require electricity only to run motor for drip or sprinkler, whatever you install.
1. You can use a generator depending upon the load taken by greenhouse when there is a power failure.
2. Yes, low cost polyhouse but again for irrigation electricity is required.
3. Technically, three methods are used for cooling and reducing greenhouse temperatures-
a.Air exchange between the air inside the greenhouse and the outside atmosphere.
This exchange is accomplished either passively through roof and side vents, or actively by operating ventilators that increase the rate of air exchange when natural air exchange is insufficient for the plant’s requirements.

b.Adiabatic cooling, which increases the humidity while lowering the temperature inside the greenhouse. Coolnet foggers or wet pads are used for this process.
c. Wet Pad
The wet pad system includes:
• Wet pad
• Fans
• Pipe for water dispersion over the wet pad
• Submerged pump
• Water tank
• Pipe system for water supply

4. You need to find out from the APMC market there whether they market flowers.
5. If you are cultivating under greenhouse, shade net you can go in for rose, chrysanthemum, gerbera, carnation. If you are cultivating outside you can grow some varieties of rose, marigold, chrysanthemum.
