Dried fish preservation

Dried fish of all varieties become discolor (slightly reddish) when stored
for a period of time. I heard there is method of washing and sun drying
Dried fish to get rid of the color and to restore its quality.
If some one knows the method and of any chemical that is used in this process, it will be useful and helpful. Please reply through Private message.

Dear Sirs,
The scales of fish change colour when exposed to acidic conditions. The fishermen use salt to dry the fishes. You may also contact the local fisheries department who are very helpful.
