Hello,
Actually i am planning to start a farm in my native. then i started to collect the details of high breed goats. all are very good about high breed goats except marketing. i asked local meat market & stall owners about the taste & marketing of boer/osmanbadi/thalachery,etc., As per their quote this type of breed goat meat is like beef meat,so they are not interesting..here i stuck up with my plan. so i dont know what to do...

Dear rajesh kumar,
Its totally wrong, that the meat of osmanabadi goat is like that of cattle.Osmanabdi goat as the highest palatability of meat as compare to any other Indian goat breed,as a result it is widely reared in all parts of country.Meat market owner to whom you have asked, has not been ever tasted the meat of a pure-line osmabadi breed.Out of total meat exported to gulf countries,30% is on only osmanabadi. There are 23 existing goat breeds in India, and osmanabdi goat breed occupies one third portion of meat exported. Its meat has great demand in gulf countries. If its meat is same as that of cattle, then it would not been have imported by gulf countries on large scale. The meat of a pure-line osmanabdi goat has high protein and low fat content.
