Dairy Farming / milking parlor

Hello Everyone!!!

I am planning to set up a Dairy Farm with 100 crossbreed cows initially. I am also planning to set up a decent milk parlor, to have really hygienic milk. I was goggling to find out a supplier or manufacturer for a fully automated parallel milking parlor or a Rotary milking parlor in India. But I couldn’t find. Somebody who knows more please do help me in;

1. Do we have manufacturer available in India for a parallel milking parlor or a Rotary milking parlor?

2. If available, in what specification it’s available i.e. how many cows can be milked at a time?

3. What are the after sale services are provided?

4. How much it does cost?

I hope one of you can help me out in this.

Dear Joseph,

We suggest you contact Alfa Laval or IDMC. You will get thier email-ids from their respective web-sites.
But please let me caution you that milking parlour will be very very expensive and will add to your basic cost. With abundant and cheap labour available in India, you can have manual milking or maybe machine milking at the most. It is possible to have good, clean milk with these two methods if adequate cleanliness and sanitation practices are followed.
