Hello,
I live in Chennai. I would like to know the name of the native breed of Cows and goats in this area. My requirement is it should be able grown with very little maintenance. Also I would like to know if we can use milking machines to milk the native bread (even though the milk production is less).

I have few names related to Tamilnadu. They are:-

COWS

1. Kangayam
2. Umblacherry
3. Baragur
4. Alambadi
5. Pulikulum

Goats

1. Kanni Adu
2. Salem Karupu
3. Pallai Adu
4. Kodi Adu
5. Moolai Adu

I am sure we can milk using machines.

Is there specific native bread to chennai area? May be kancheepuram area? I want to know the pure native bread for chennai area.

Hi crsratnam,

The ones I have given are the popular ones. There may be many which are not named but are generally called as "Nattu Maadu" and "Velladu". Just talk to the people in the nearby surroundings and you will find aplenty.
