Brewery waste as catte feed

Can the waste from beer breweries can be fed to the cows. It seems this improves yield and quality of the milk. Is this true ? If so, how much can be fed to cows & buffaloes. Does it have any side effect on the cows/buffaloes (health hazard)

Dear Bhasker,

Yes. Brewery waste can be fed to cows. While it does improve milk yield per day, we strongly suggest that you should study whether it improves the total lactation yield and confirm for yourself. As regards the quality, frankly it depends on the different chemicals used for making alcohol.

Fed at the rate of 5 kgs or less per day along with other green / dry fodder may be practical. Please note that the milk so produced has a different flavour / odour.
