I've always wanted a house with a big garden with a pool, swings for the kids (and plenty of space to run around) and space for a vegetable patch and small greenhouse.As far as I can see this is quite costly to achieve in Malta and Gozo. So one of the options I am considering is to split the requirement over two properties: an apartment or small terraced house and a some agricultural land for summertime/weekend living and to grow our own veggies and maybe keep some chickens. Answers to or directions for any of these questions would be helpful here:Can agricultural land be used as a leisure garden property or are there requirements for it to be used commercially?What are the rules regarding buildings on agricultural land? What are the rules regarding temporary structures (trailered cabins, tented structures etc)? Is planning consent required for greenhouses? Any specific rules regarding water reservoirs / pools?
