easy compost

Hi All, I have a doubt regarding compost preparation. Iam preparing a compost out of just grass. Iam just piling grass into a circle made of mesh and truning it once a week with damping. Could you tell me if the grass pile is to be decomposed in the sun or in shade? Thanks, Zaheer.
