Now I want to start Gladiolus cultivation from this season after wheat. I want detail knowledge on corm purchase, sowing, crop care and marketing of flower. Kirti I m planning to start a dairy farm at ALMORA Utrakhand thats a hill area . I already bought land at river banks of about 25000 Sq ft .
I Do not have any hand on exp and knoweldge about the business but with my contacts and approach I m sure to get the market as there is good demand .
Can u please send me a project report and ur detailed advise for setting up including commercial details and sources of project parts like animals composition feeds and all .
I m planning to start from 10-15 animals initially and future expension is always in mind.
the report required is like what we can present to finincial organizations and government too .

Hi Kirti,

I am a student of IIM Kozhikode and I plan to carry out a feasibility study on floriculture, with particular regards to cultivation of Anthurium and similar cut flowers. Our group plans to bring out a business plan on investment possibilities in this sector and look at leveraging the climatic conditions in Kerala to bring about the development of floriculture, aided by management best practices.

If the study and analyses do seem favorable, we plan to start a small floriculture venture ourselves in Kerala - we presently got approx. 3 acres of land an hour's drive from Kochi airport and we feel that we can make most of this and possibly look at exporting cut flowers to West Asia.

Please help us in this endeavor...we would require loads on information, especially the costs and initial investments required for the same. We have narrowed it to Anthurium - but if there are other flowers that can yield better profits, do let us know. It would be also great if you could give us some of the producers / exporters in Kerala, who could help us.

I am based out of Bangalore.
