NANSEI VELAAN SEVAI MAIYAM is an Agriclinic and Agribusiness centre envisaged to provide both on farm and distant expert consultancy, input supply, farm equipments on hire and advice to farmers on cropping practices, technology dissemination, crop protection from pests & diseases, market trends and prices of various crops in the markets and also clinical services for animal health etc. which would enhance productivity of crops / animals.
Our technical expert team, with a solid background of work experience in different sectors, such as Agricultural research and extension, cropping system, project planning and implementation from land shaping to crop geometry, irrigation designing and management, pest and disease management of agricultural/horticultural crops in organic and inorganic techniques. We mainly focus on the ecological sustainability which in turn makes the farms economically viable.
To cope with challenge, future research and development will have to be multidisciplinary and trans-institutional in function with holistic content. The employment potential of the new generation of agricultural, horticultural graduates in government agencies is fast receding and it is imperative that their vast and untapped potential need to be utilized for the welfare of the farming community. To facilitate in soil and water testing with state run soil testing laboratories.
To provide guidance for soil reclamation and related technical areas.
To train / demonstrate / educate farmers in the technical areas of soil fertility development, integrated input use, improved compost making, etc.
To provide recommendation on fertilizer application and fertility management.
