Dr. Nita Khandekar on "Recent advances in soybean production technology"

Dr. Nita Khandekar is the Acting Director of ICAR-Indian Institute of Soybean Research in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.  She says India has achieved self sufficiency in food grain, pulses, milk, dairy, poultry, sea food etc., however, the scenario of the edible oil production is grim. The Prime Minister’s recent call in covid times to become atmanirbhar has put even more responsibility on researchers to work towards this in a mission mode. India’s productivity in soybean has been around 1.1ton/ha. and the potential of the crop with adoption of the cultural practices is more than double. According to Dr Nita Khandekar, in the changing climatic scenario, there is a need to change the farming practices and varieties. To know more view https://bit.ly/3n0aHm5
