Dear Pious Joseph

It is nice that you are interested to plant a new species called paulownia (termed as China's Wonder Tree in India). I have tested this species in Tamil Nadu, Orissa and in Uttar Pradesh. I my openion this species is not at all suitable in Indian agroclimatic conditions.

Plants of Paulownia grow very fast in the first year bu later on there is stuntted growth and even die back is noticed. Please take a re-look on trying out this species for commercial purposes. Many farmers have had very bitter experience of this so called China's Wonder Tree.
