Cottonseed oil is the main cooking oil. Gossypol in cottonseed oil (about l%), resin and wax (depending on oil content of cotton shell content of embryo-specific), poor quality and not suitable for direct consumption, the refining process is more complicated.
The refined cottonseed oil refining process contain full set of oil production process flow from filtrated crude oil, preheating, mixing, alkali refining, mix proportion, desoap, washing, dehydration, absorption decolorization, filtration, distillation until filtration. The cottonseed oil after oil refinery process has no impurity, no gum and wax. The harmful impurity of gossypol is totally removed after cottonseed oil refinery.
