where is your farm ??
there are agents in every state for the north indian breeds mentioned by you.
Nellore-Ongole breed is from andhra pradesh state.
be careful when you buy. the cow should be inspected by a cow expert
who knows the breed . or else, you will be cheated.

Desi breeds
I am a person interested in watching the postings in this forum. I do not have a farm but I know very well about the breeds in India. There is a flow towards desi breed cows now, I wonder why. Please understand that there is very low yield for desi breeds. More fat percentage and medicinal values may be there. You will not get fancy price for milk of these desi breeds. Nellore-Ongole and Vechoor,small cow from Kerala, Kangeyam from Tamilnadu are some of them. Going after these breeds I don’t understand the reason. If its for milk these cows are not the choice. Like Mr.Varma has mentioned above, you are most likely to get cheated as its very difficult to get people who are familiar with these breed characteristics. Do not fall prey to brokers who will ask for fancy prices.

As per ICAR Hariyana NBAGR is recognized 39 Breeds is avail in India.
1) Andhra Pradesh : Ongole & Punganoor. Un register breed is Devarakota.
2) Karnataka : Amruth Mahal, Hallikar, Malanadu Gidda, Killar, Deoni, Krishnavelly. Un Registerd is Kapilian ( Golden colour Short Breed)
3) Tamil Nadu : Kangeyam, Pullikulam, Bargur, Umbalancherry , Alambadi, Un registred is Natu Madu is avail in Kancheepuram chengalpattu area.
4) Kerala : Vechoor is only register breed. Un Register breeds is Manapari, Kuttambura Kullai.
These are south india Register Breeds.
From Gujarat : Gir
Rajasthan : Kankrej, Tharparkar, Rathi
Hariyana : Hariyana
UP : Ponwar, Mewathi
MH : Lal Khandari Killar, Deoni, Dongi
