Hi Folks,

We are having a farm in Marakkanam and we have full grown CO3 fodder cuttings for sale. One full load of Tata Ace vehicle (aprox 1.5 to 2 tons) is Rs 2000/- only and it is sufficient to plant two acres of land. This fodder plant grows for 7 years no matter how many times you cut. This green fodder is useful for both goats and cows and is rich essential nutrients, So whoever is in need in an around Marakkanam, Dindivanam, Pondycherry, Chengalpatu can contact us.

Farmers can grow the fodder like Maize, Jawar, Hybrid Napier RBN13, Lucerne, Stylo Scabra, Subabul and Bajra for your Goats if they are sending the animals for Grazing also.

You have to grow Monocotyledons which comprises of Maize, Jawar, Hybrid Napier, Gunea Grass , Oats and Para grass. These fodders are rich in energy and are used for supplying energy to animals and this should contain 66% of the diet.

Secondly you have to also grow Dicotyledons like Stylo , Lucerne, Berseem and Subabul. These fodders are rich in protein and help in Body building of animals and Milk Production and should be 33% of the diet.
Remaining 1 % of the diet with concentrate.

By Thumb Rule you should feed the fodder 10 % of Body weight.
