It was the dream of the farmers as the publicity made was the future of the farmers will be changed. It really proved fack. The region in surrendranagar where the main cannal passes the whole region is now converted into saline land . Previously the they could take non irrigated cotton crop from the farm now within 3 years the land has become saline and of no use to the farmers. The big land owners now have to go for the labour out their villages. These is the fact and was published in Times of India Ahmedabad edition.
Looking to the condition the same thing is nearly going to repeat in some region of Rajasthan where the salinity of the soil is hogher and the salts from the underground will come up and in near future the same problem will be faced by the farmers if proper steps not taken.
