COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

United the village people of around 1000, explained the need for desilting the pond, obtained the permission from the local government and facilitated the collection of fund and collected Rs.3.00 lakhs from the public of Erode(TN) and de silted the water tank during the year 2003 with area of 5 Acres in Periyasadayam palayam village. The tank caters to the need of the people for water in the radius of 15 sq.kms.

Major Achievements

 Improved the procurement of the milk by 27% from 3.45 llpd from the year 2004 to 4.39 llpd during the year 2007 in 6 milk Unions in North Karnataka Milk Unions by adopting the modified system of Procurement.
 Conceived, Developed (training need analysis) and arranged the training programme for the Milk producers, Board of Directors in DCS and Unions, Secretaries and functionaries in DCS, Executives, Managers and CEOs of Milk Unions in Karnataka and the total participants trained were 441.
 In Tamilnadu, rationalized the Procurement price and policy for milk in 10 Milk unions and due to the technical intervention, the procurement rose from 17.21 llpd during the year 2001-02 to 22.75 llpd in the year 2003- 04.
 Project work was successfully completed on “ Producing Organic Manure by utilizing the poultry waste in India” during my study (PGDRDM) at IRMA during the year 1993.
 Facilitated the training programme in Southern Regional Demonstration and Training center, NDDB., Erode. Conceived and conducted a Business orientation and sensitization programme by considering the present competitive trend by taking the inputs from the structural analysis of the Michael Porter to the DCS Secretaries, Management committee members, Procurement and Input wing of the Milk Unions, Managers, CEOs and elected board of directors of the Selected Milk Unions in entire South India. The total participants trained were 351from year 2001 to 04
 Worked as Board Nominee of NDDB in the Milk Unions Viz., Coimbatore, Madurai, Vellore, Villupuram, Dharmapuri,Trichy, Chengleput, Nilgris (TN)Trivandrum, (Kerala) Pondicherry, Gulbarga, Bijappur, Dharwad, Belagaum, Bellary, (Karnataka) Milk Unions to improve the Business performance especially in Procurement and Marketing the Milk and Milk Products and to develop, guide and control in the overall business affairs and policies in order to facilitate the cooperative governance in the above cooperatives from the grass root level to the Milk Union as Board Nominee.
 Coordinated the activities of HOGA (Hindustan Oilseeds Growers Association) a lobbying organisation for Oilseed Growers of India on the lines of CLUSA (Cooperative League of USA) under the Chairmanship of Shri HM Patel, Ex Finance Minister of India
 Studied the entire milk procurement transport system in Vellore Milk Union in Tamilnadu and saved Rs.65 lakhs during the year 02-03 and same was replicated in Erode, Dharmapuri, Villupuram Milk Unions and an amount of Rs.94.00 lakhs were saved during the year 03-04.
 Developed the concept of Area Agronomic Center, District Farm and Training Center for the Oilseed Federations of NDDB’S Vegetable Oilseed Project, facilitated the creation of the centers and implemented the Production Enhancement Programme to the tune of Rs.36.00 Crores in Tamilnadu and Karnataka states
 Executed the Man Power Planning and recruitment, Training, Extension system, Production Enhancement activities and developed the procurement policy for Groundnut, sunflower and soybean and over all business development of Oilseeds Cooperatives in Karnataka and in Tamilnadu.
 Identified defective Procurement system in Soybean in MP Oilfed and come out with effective Procurement system that could save Rs.3.5 crorers per year.
 Awarded a meritorious certificate by KOF for successfully organizing the oilseed producers organization, seed village camps and seed multiplication programme
 In Monsanto, developed the market for the Weedicide by conducting demonstration, farm meetings and individual farmer, dealer and distributor contacts and training programmes in South India and increased the market from 7.00 MT to 110 MTS in Tamilnadu and awarded 2 special increments.
 Demonstrated at the advantage of tissue culture Banana from the NDDB tissue culture lab, NDDB., Mumbai at the farmer’s field in Anand under the Technical guidance of Dr. Menon, Ex Scientist, Hindustan Leaver.
 Conceived, designed and conducted the Farmers Induction Programme (FIP) for Oilseed growers of Key Important Persons (KIP) for 4600 members in Tamilnadu and Karnataka
