Neem plantation

Hi There,
I own 2 acres of land in south tamilnadu near tenkasi . I am intrested in neem cultivation in that land. Need more information about good quality seeds and other techniques.

Neem is propagated by seeds is right but if u sow seeds in ur field it will take a long time for the produce. So why dont u plant already grown plants upto a height of 4ft or so.
And please tell me what is ur main idea behind neem planting.

Hi kirti,

Thanks for your input ;My aim to take yield from various neem products year after year.Basically an investment for future. At the same time i am not intrested in teak/some other plantation which is purely for commercial objectives.

Can you please give me an option for neem which can be a investment for future?

Dear Sir

Neem cultivation is a very good idea. Neem tree is one of the trees known for its overall useful properties.
The most common species of neem is Azadirachta indica. neem has all properties such as medicinal, insecticidal, manure, air purifier.
U can star with seeds too but i will suggest u to grow ur own seedling and then transplant them.
In case of landscaping and environmental value i had suggested big plants.
U can raise the seeds brought from a good reputed nursery or some research centre abd plant in a nursery bed and later transplant the seedlings.
