Did you know that to get olive oil on your table there are harvesters that climb tall trees to manually pick olives. It's dangerous work that takes a lot of time. We're working with Agroworld, an Italian company that has invented a simple device that will bring olive harvesting into the 21st century.
Alpha is an automatic tool that can easily and efficiently harvest olives. It's made of a telescopic pole fitted with a double rake on the end. At the push of a button the double rake fans the olives down to the ground, making them easier to collect. Finally farmers can work safely from the ground without the need for ladders or hazardous tree climbing. Less physical effort is required and the harvest time is reduced by up to 80%.
