There are several crops that thruve well under semi shade conditions. depending upon the nature of land and water availability crops such as kalmegh, satavari, sarpgandha, patchouli and holly basil can be tried. After knowing more detail specific crop can be suggested.

Dear Saran,
You have several option to go for co cultivation of amla and medicinal and aromatic crops. Before suggesting suitable crop combination, some specific queries will be needed on available soil resources, fertility status, irrigation facilities, location of land(climatic factor). thanks aromed Last edited by Ritika; 02-13-2008 at 11:44 AM. Dear Sir,
First of all, now it is not advisable to go for amla plantation. Growers already into amla cultivation are not happy due to the poor market and low price. We are Hyderabad based agri consultants extending cultivation consultancy servies for medicinl, aromatic and horticulture crops. We strongly recommend u not to go for Amla. Still, u r facinated to go for amla plantation, if the total extent is more than 20 acres plus, u can go for lemon grass an aromatic oil crop as intercrop. If the proposed amla plantation is less than 20 acres, forget about aromatic oil crop as intercrop. U can go for Ashwagandha. For further inforamtion contact us.
