The Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) at Lucknow, is organizing ‘CIM-Utsav’ with Kisan Mela on 31st January between 10.00 and 5.00 pm. The main focus in this year’s Kisan Mela would be Organic Farming Technology.
Other important features of the day-long mela are interactive meets covering question-answer sessions, exhibition of new and improved varieties and technology packages, registration for authentic nucleus planting material, competition on the medicinal and aromatic plants health demonstration and first hand information on new technologies, publications and products of CIMAP. Seed bio-village According to the institute’s press release this year, CIMAP will be launching ‘Seed Bio-village Mission’ to enable selected farmers to be trained in the production of quality planting material under the institute’s technical guidance.
