SHORT-TERM SKILLS DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAMME BY HCMS, JAIPUR

Training Programme-Nursery Management
Duration-R/30 days without EDP at Jaisinghpura Khor, Jaipur
Hrs/Day-7 hours
Total Hours-210 hours
Commencing Date-25 November 2007
Valediction Date – 24 December 2007

The accommodation and other arrangement will be taken care of by the organization.

Eligibility
Age Limit-18-35 years
Education-Illiterate /Literate
Minimum Educational Qualification prescribed below for this concerned course.
Tool Kit-Will be provided (50% amount will be paid by the participant)
OJT-will be provided
Stationary-will be provided by training provider
3 postcards will be provided to each trainee towards the end of the training programme by the training provider for receiving the information on the livelihood pursued by the trainee. The trainees may be told to send one postcard giving information regarding livelihood pursued, earning per month etc every quarter to our organization.
Course Material-Training Literature, Writing pad/Copy/Register and pen

Expected Efficiency of the participants
Each participant must be capable of doing the following:
• Identifying and utilizing the tools and equipments required in nursery
• Preparing high plant rows
• Preparing cow dung manure
• Preparing compost by NODOP methods
• Preparing Vermi composts
• Preparing fruit and vegetable plants
• Sowing seeds and planting the saplings in flower pots, polythin bags and plant rows
• Preparing plants by drafting
• Preparing plants by layering
• Preparing plants by budding
• Placing plants in flower pots
• Taking care of the plants
• Packaging of the plants
• Managing the nursery related issues

Participation Fee
Nature-Non Refundable
Rs.2400 per participant of General Category
Rs.1200 from SC/ST and OBC participants
Rs.600 for women, handicapped, and Sahariya Tribes participants

3 Follow ups after the completion of the programme
(1) First Follow-up
3 self addressed postcards will be provided to each trainee towards the end of the training programme by the training provider for receiving the information on the livelihood pursued by the trainee. The trainees may be told to send one postcard giving information regarding livelihood pursued, earning per month etc every quarter to our organization.

(2) Second Follow-up
After 6 months of the training completion, one meeting will be conducted among the trainees and their monitors (who are supposed to monitor the trainees of their group).Before this meeting, the monitors will approach the trainees and will discuss the income, loans (if any), problems, etc of trainees of their group.

(3) Third Follow-up
After 12 months of completion of the training programme, one meeting will be conducted in which all the participants will be called/invited to discuss their work progress and the related problems.
