v r planning to cultivate sugarcane on 15 acres on MP-Maharashtra Border near jalgaon. can anyone suggest us which variety to grow for higher yields upto 100 ton per acre.

I have little experience of scane. Just for my knowldge I want to know whether 100 tones yield is possible on commercial scale.

sir, in Bidar in Maharashtra they formed a 100 ton sugarcane growers association also.

Its a miracle and wonder in this world.So its not possible to get 100 tons per acre.Kindly intimate the farmers address and also assn address.

i think sugarcane institute coimbatore is having such varieties giving yeild above 100 tones for hectare.

m not a farmer but whatever knowledge i got from net that i discussed. for that association of 100 ton sugarcane growers association u can contact agriculture university/college at Bidar. i am not sure they meant per acre yield or per ha. and sir miracles do happen sometimes. I believe in them.

Also last week I met some farmers in Jalgaon area and Burhanpur in MP and they claimed to take yield for 700-800 quintals per acre by using drip irrigation and bio compost.

Default 100 tonne per acre yield is possible.
We, Vasumitra Life Energies Pvt. Ltd., are running a sugarcane development program which helps farmers achieve 100 tonnes per acre yield.

This program is tried and tested in many areas ranging from Gujrat to Tamilnadu.
