I would like to plant for about 100 acres for commercial purpose.please clarify my doubts.

Can I go for drip irrigation for better cultivation?

As my farm is in TN-Kerala border with heavy rains during rainy seasons. Can mangium tolerate waterlogging conditions for 1-2 months a year?

Whether fertilizers and good maintenance required for commercial purpose?

Can Mangium planted on large scale for commercial purpose upto 100 acres?.Are there any restrictions to plant forest plants in agriculture land?I was told that half of the price of the cultivated woods should be taken by government. Please clarify this.Whether I have to inform to the forestery dept before planting or I have to get any letter ?

Market for Mangium woods.I think,as the product is wood it will cost more transportation charge if they are sold to distant buyers? Is there enough market available for Mangium in south tamilnadu and in kerala?

If you are going for 100 acres of cultivation, go for 25 acres per year for 4 years. The profit is good for magnium, you just have to provide security from theft and destruction.

here is the profit u can make at the end of 10 years. At the end of 10 years each tree will give you 60 cu.ft. of wood.

Each acre can accomodate 1000 trees. For practicl purposes, we assume 200 trees do not grow properly or are destroyed.

Below is the profit from 800 trees / acre after 10 years:

60 cu.ft. per tree x Rs. 800/-per cu.ft=Rs 48000 x 800 trees - 3 crores 84 Lacs

Enjoy...
become a millionaire after 10 years...
