Contact farming gives you income through out the year, but profit margin is less. You can also scale up number of birds in a short period.Getting loan from the banks is easy.if you are willing to operate on low profit with out marketing headache, then go for it.
If you want to do it'your own, then start from less birds, you will be benefited from seasonal variation of price, but you have to depend on middle men for marketing.profit is more and so also the risk.And it is difficult to scale up in short time
