Want know the details about Emu bird

I am planning to start a new emu farm in AP.
For this i want to know the details about emu bird like
1. what is the Initial amount we need to invest, place required to the farm, chicks cost and finally how the market will be for emu birds in india
2. How and where we can sell EMU Meat, Feathres, Nails, Unhatched Eggs (I heard that Unhatched eggs will be used in Handicraft items and decorative items) etc
3. How to take out oil from Emu bird? dow we get fat/oil from emu at frequent interval or one time?
4. What are the common diseases emu birds will be affected with?
5. And also please list out the probelms faced in emu farm maintainence?

Diseases of emu :Emu are highly susceptible to encephalomyelitis. They receive it from horses, flying birds. It is not transmissible to human. Equine triple E vaccination have worked well against this disease. Other common diseases have to be followed.

Demand for its products
The most important is of course, its meat which is 97 to 98% fat free. Emu meat is rich in proteins; it contains plenty of iron, vitamin B-12, hence as the modern research shows ' emu meat is excellent diet for people suffering from heart – ailments. Emu meat has less fat content,it is easily digestable, very tasty and hence it serves as a very good alternative for mutton & chicken. Therefore there is a great demand for it in international market. Each bird can yield about 25 kg of meat.

Emu Skin
Emu-skin is very soft and smooth, hence it has a great demand in international leather industry for producing new fashionable goods. A variety of goods can be produced from emu-skin. A fully grown up bird can yield 6 to 8 sq. ft. leather.

Emu Feathers
The feathers of the Emu bird are double quilled, attractive and velvety to the touch. They are soft, light and non-allergic, which makes them the ideal material for a host of applications. They are in demand both in the fashion and in art and craft industries. They are used as feather duster, feather pad, fans, boas, masks, finishing metals prior to painting, weather-proof apparels, pillows, blazers, sweaters, jewellery, craft items.

Emu Nails
Toe nails are polished, finished and designed in different ways to be used as various jewellry pieces for woman.
