Hi Velu

Is this Palakkodu, near Erode. Basic steps you need to take

Test the soil for crop suitability. Check with the nearest soil testing lab on the appropriate method to collect samples. Also there are plenty of articles on the internet and in this site on collecting soil samples. The soil test report will indicate suitable crops based on the pH values
Is this pre dominantly a borewell or a open well area
What is the water level in wells nearby, Do they face water shortage
Conduct a ground water survey to identify water
Check What crops are grown in fields
Crop planning will depend upon your ability to invest time, money and supervision of the field.
Based on soil and water availability, and the market for certain products / prices, you can plan

Once you get your plans right, go for fencing and wells

Good luck

Utilisation of Barren land

Dear Sir,
You may think about plantation of Aonla/Karonda or other minor fruit plants.
