Dr. Shivanna Honnurappa is the Dean (Forestry) at College of Forestry, UASD in Sirsi, Karnataka. His interests are agroforestry systems in dryland ecosystem; carbon sequestration potentials in agroforestry; shelterbelt system of approach in dry areas; sandal based agroforestry; mango based agroforestry; dalbergia latifolia based agroforestry and high valued tree based agroforestry in dry land ecosystem.
