Dr. Manoj Kumar is the acting Director in ICAR-Central Potato Research Institute, Shimla. He is basically a Soil Scientist working for past 17 years for potato crop in various positions like Senior Scientist, Principal Scientist, Head of the Station, Joint Director and now having acting charge of the Director of the Institute. During his initial years he mostly worked on nutrient management in potato based cropping systems and also seed production technology.
